The Undecided Are Still Undecided

As I predicted last night’s debate did not decide a great deal. At Reuters Helen Coster and Tim Reid report:

Reuters interviewed 10 people who were still unsure how they were going to vote in the Nov. 5 election before they watched the debate. Six said afterward they would now either vote for Trump or were leaning toward backing him. Three said they would now back Harris and one was still unsure how he would vote.

Harris and Trump are in a tight race and the election will likely be decided by just tens of thousands of votes in a handful of battleground states, many of whom are swing voters like the undecided voters who spoke to Reuters.
Although the sample size was small, the responses suggested Harris might need to provide more detailed policy proposals to win over voters who have yet to make up their minds.

That might present a real conundrum for the Harris campaign. If they can’t win a race based on the Biden-Harris track record and they can’t win an election based solely on “vibes” and aspirations, what’s next? There is not a great deal of time.

Whomever polls behind will press for a second debate claiming that the other is avoiding it.
It’s becoming increasingly difficult for me to believe that elections would continue to be as razor thin in margins as they are in a nation this large if not for some external factors such as forged ballots.

Or could it be because there only two choices, there is no column c,d,e etc? Its either fish or poultry, no lasagna.

I have to say what a perfectly laid trap.
Quote her, let her deny, let the moderator “fact check” and back her up, then Trump, out of character, doesn’t defend his claim.
Later, the tape proves that she lied and the internet explodes.
    Thanks, Senator Gabbard.

    They could try gaslighting.

    Oh, they are.

Go Harris!!! how many undecided are just keeping their choice to themselves? Harris all the way, Dems all the way, The White House, Congress, and the Senate, Go Blue!!

Positive attitude, Larry. But support for Harris publicly today is like Black Lives Matter’s signs in white suburbs, or being a party member in Russia in the 50’s.
Support for Trump publicly today can get you fired or even arrested and jailed.
I tell everyone who asks I’m for Harris because I don’t want my tires cut or windows broken. But in that voting booth, it’s my business. They are going to have to cheat to win.

  • being a party member in Russia in the 50’s

About 8% of Russians were members of the Communist Party.

    @Dave
And the other 92% somehow never won an election.
