The Watcher’s Council has announced its picks for the most outstanding posts of the preceding week. In both the Council and non-Council categories the approval of each of the winning posts is the largest I recall seeing since I’ve become a Council member, understandable under the circumstances. The winning Council post was Wolf Howling’s post, “Britain’s Prosecution of The Blogger Lionheart for Criticism of Islamâ€. Americans tend to be suspicious of treaties to begin with and I suspect that international legal venue shopping will reinforce that kneejerk response. Second place honors went to Soccer Dad’s post, “Getting a “Clue””.
The winning non-Council post was Obsidian Wings’s “Andy Olmstedâ€, former Council member Andrew Olmsted’s final post before he was killed in Iraq. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon him. Second place honors went to Dr. Sanity’s “Orchestrated Circuses and Clowns”.
