Agile Management

I’m going to be a bit scarce and posting will be light for the next couple of days. I’m attending a two-day class on a specific methodology of agile management, quite a bit different from the old Sloan functional management model.

I’m finding it quite a bit fun. Basically, it’s how I’ve been operating for the last 30 years or so. As is typical for affairs of this sort I’m older than anyone else in the class by decades. The attendance at the class is about 20 people, about half of them shy Millennials. I suspect that a great deal of what’s being said doesn’t mean much to anyone with less than 20 years of experience.

At any rate the class continues tomorrow, I’ll be tied up all day, and exhausted tomorrow evening. I may be able to sneak in a post or two but I might not have the time or energy until the weekend.

Bis später.

“Son, did you graffiti that clean comment space on that nice man’s blog?”

Sounds a bit like what we do. We also believe strongly in developing good metrics as you go and assessing them regularly. We are often changing the early parts of projects before we finish the middle parts. I think we are somewhat hindered by the fact it is very difficult to get anything like good input or feedback from patients.

Ask them if any major medical centers are doing this if you don’t mind. Thx.
