I see that Ukrainian pundits are united in wanting the U. S. to stand up to Russia on Ukraine’s behalf. I’ve seen at least three op-eds that fit that pattern today.
In transactional analysis that’s a game known as “Let’s You and Him Fight”. It never turns out well.
That’s not how we play the game.
We will arm, train, and supply logistics to those elements in Ukraine who will fight the Russian backed groups, and the Russians will do the same.
This would be the first time the game’s been played so close to a protagonist’s home territory.
The stakes are higher than in Vietnam.
This will not be a proxy war. This time the Russians will be directly involved. And the US/NATO had better stay out of it, if we want to live. Putin has promised that any war with the US will be fought on American soil, and that the main target would be the elected and appointed officials of the US government and critical economic and financial centers.
On the bright side, tensions seem to have relaxed. Biden* might have backed down and made some concessions. Perhaps the Minsk accords are back in play.
I see where Biden is withholding $200 million dollars of military small arms funding to Ukraine, as the Russian border build-up continues. Now, isn’t this where someone should initiate an impeachment of Biden, because of the financial obstruction he is overseeing in helping Ukraine at this vital time?
Oh, but he’s a Democrat. Calls like quid pro quo demands to get rid of a prosecutor or stalling the release of money, are just fine without a whimper of protest from the penguin press. Whew, if there was another party calling these shots, there would be an entirely different response!
Hackers Blamed For Cream Cheese Shortage Currently Afflicting The US
Most likely Russian hackers, probably colluding with Trump.
