Here’s the conclusion of Matt Taibbi’s reaction to the coverage of the search of Mar-A-Lago:

We’re a week into one of the biggest stories of our time, and the feds and media have spent most every minute acting as an unembarrassed unified front. One after another, national security “analysts” lined up to give breathless, hyperbolic, and and eerily synchronized commentary about the Mar-a-Lago raid. If the message on day 1 was about how they “must have” probable cause of a crime, that was the word up and down the dial. If by the weekend it was “I’ve never seen this level of threat,” you heard that in more or less the same words from the likes of Mudd, McCabe, and others on multiple channels. What’s the public supposed to see, other than an American analog to China Central TV or Rossiya-1, when they tuned in to all this?

Long live the United State! Long live the Numbers!! Long live the Well-Doer!!!

And Rush isn’t here to roll the tape.
    No reporters need apply.
Ted Baxter reading the White House press release on every channel.

Hyperbole and stagecraft are the progressive party’s new lingo. They use descriptive words that are worthless in their meaning. The Inflation Reduction Bill, for instance, increases inflation. They say the audits will be aimed at the rich, when most say it’s the middle class and small businesses who will be hit the hardest. Yesterday’s Wyoming election saw Liz Chaney massively defeated by 37 points – this is after sending out pre election flyers to Dems in trying to woo their votes over to her. Even with such an election ploy in place Chaney lost, and is now turning her failure into a comparison of Lincoln’s election defeats on the way to capturing the presidency and “saving democracy.” “Audacity” should be a key word in searching for the dem’s character.

Remember there is no JournOlist, no collusion amongst the chattering/scribbling/media/ruling classes, just watch the telescreen and let the truth flow in.

It got kicked into hyper-drive during Trump. Remember the nightly recitations of “the walls are closing in.” Or, “classic Russian disinformation.”

    Polly want a cracker?

Not seeing his point here. They shouldn’t cover the death threats that the FBI are receiving? Is this like we should just ignore riots when they are performed by the right wing?

Riots by the left wing are either rationalized or ignored, and always forgiven by the media.

Point is that news anchors are parroting Administration talking points.
And not bothering to hide that.

Uhh, they are interviewing administration figures, as Taibbi notes, and the admin people are all saying the same thing. This merits commentary? Sigh.

“Riots by the left wing are either rationalized or ignored”

Wall to wall non stop coverage of every BLM riot and looting.

“Wall to wall non stop coverage of every BLM riot and looting.”

At least the mostly peaceful ones.
