The members of the Watcher’s Council have nominated the following for consideration by the Council:
The Noisy Room – The Faustian Pact Between Obama And Iran
Terresa does not care for the agreement the Obama Administration is negotiating with Iran. I think it’s a waste of time and breath but I don’t have the passion about it that Terresa does.
Don Surber – Prime Minister: “Australians are sick of being lectured to by the United Nations”
Newcomer to the Watcher’s Council but certainly not to the blogosphere Don Surber writes in praise of the Australian prime minister, Tony Abbott.
The Right Planet – The Silencers
Brent pens an obituary for M. Stanton Evans.
GrEaT sAtAnâ€S gIrLfRiEnD – If War Is The Best Option
GsGf writes in praise of an op-ed I thought, frankly, was loony.
Joshuapundit–The Chicken Or The Egg?
Joshuapundit writes on the quandary facing Muslims. I’m in not position to make sweeping generalizations about Islam but I certainly agree with his conclusion.
The Glittering Eye –The History of ‘Advice and Consent’
VA Right! – Is the Location of Hillary Clinton’s Email Server 75 Broad St New York, NY 10004?
Tom does a little detective work trying to find the physical location of Hillary Clinton’s private email server.
The Razor – The New Eco-Feminist Top Gear Unveiled
Scott writes about an Eco-Feminist alternative to the automotive program Top Gear.
Nice Deb – President Bystander Blames Bush For ISIS – Even Though He Funded Them and They Metastasized On His Watch
Deb notes that President Obama does seem to have a never-ending desire to blame President Bush. I do notice an amazing lack of self-awareness on the president’s part.
>Bookworm Room – Trevor Loudon tells enthralled Marin County audience that victory in 2016 requires uniting and inspiring conservative base
Bookworm writes on attending a lecture by former Council member Trevor Loudon.
The Independent Sentinel – Unbelievable: Iran Is Off the Terrorism List and Assisting Obama in Defeating Congress
Iran is on Sara’s mind this week, too.
Ask Marion – Beating The Odds
Marion writes about the experience of fighting and beating cancer.
Rhymes With Right – But The Obama Administration Assured Us These Folks Were Poor People Who Just Needed Jobs!
Greg notes that a sense of entitlement seems to be a better predictor of violent radical Islamism than poverty.
Well, I’ve decided which posts to vote for. Which posts would get your votes? The announcement post at the Watcher’s site is here.
The Razor botches the name of the first Top Gear host he names. It’s James May, not Brian May. No motor oil for him.
I don’t follow the program so I wouldn’t know. Interestingly, Scott, who blogs there, went to the same high school as I did albeit thirty years apart.
Not that often on your page. Is this meant to be a “worst of the web” collection?
If you think that’s the worst of the web, you don’t get out much.
I’ve been a member of the Watcher’s Council longer than any other member. Its composition has changed quite a bit over the years. When I first joined, I fit neatly into the center of the Council politically. It has drifted quite a way to the right, mirroring the Republican Party.
Although I’ve been concerned about the Council for years my quitting wouldn’t move it into a better direction so I stay. I agree with some of the members (Scott at The Razor, Joshuapundit) about many things and some (Bookworm, Tom White) about many things. I think the hatred that some of the Council members have for President Obama is hyperbolic, misplaced, and, frankly, mostly rooted in party politics. I also find it boring.
