To Laugh Or To Cry?

I think that this is unquestionably the funniest thing I’ve heard all day. The FBI has lost track of the wife of Omar Matteen, the perpetrator of the Orlando massacre:

Attorney General Loretta Lynch admitted today that the FBI is unaware of the whereabouts of Omar Mateen’s wife, Noor Salman.
Salman has indicated she suspected Mateen was about to commit a terrorist attack, and even accompanied him to buy the weaponry he used to carry out the massacre. She insists, however, that as he left she tried to hold onto his arm so he wouldn’t leave.
If the FBI believes she was aware of the impending attack, she could be prosecuted.
“Has the shooter’s wife left the state of Florida?” a reporter asked Lynch during her press conference Tuesday.
“Right now, I don’t know exactly the answer to that,” Lynch candidly replied. “I believe she was going to travel but I do not know exactly her location now.”

Maybe it’s not as bad as it sounds. It would be pretty darned hard for it to be as bad as it sounds.

I think its a shame that the FBI rank and file feels it has to redact information before giving it to the AG, though admittedly all AGs are political hacks that should be ceremoniously executed at the end of term of office.

I recall a few days ago some talking heads – lawyers and prosecutors – being flabbergasted that the woman had not been arrested with option of bail.

When you hear things like this, or offensive YouTube videos, or concerns about frank talk radicalize get Muslims you have to wonder – Keystone Cops or throwing sand in the eyes.

OK, so it turns out the redacted material can be read simply by passing one’s cursor over it.

Noor Salman has gone in search of her husband’s lost motive, something that has bewildered the AG for some time now. And best evidence suggests that her search has led her to the Big Rock Candy Mountain, where clues lie waiting amidst the cigarette trees and lemonade springs. Unfortunately all of the cops there have wooden legs, and the jails are made of tin, so that as soon as you are in, you can walk right out again. Developing . . .

The surprising thing is that Noor Salman flew to her destination despite being on the FBI’s no-fly list. Unfortunately, there are multiple Noor Salmans, some on the list, others not. Choosing to avoid criticism while its power to block firearms transactions was under scrutiny, the FBI decided not to block anybody. In the future, the FBI promises to block any person from flying whose name is Ron Mason, or close enough.

It’s par for the course these days.

PD, maybe she should talk to OJ about finding things that are lost. Of course, he’ll just tell her to search the golf courses of America, and to let him know if she finds Nicole’s killer
