The requirements of this graphic mess up my format a bit and aren’t easily changeable but bear with me. You can mouseover a state to see what the actual change was.
The obvious conclusion is that in states where there were real contests the voters actually do show up. If there’s a clear Red State/Blue State dichotomy in these results, they’re not obvious to me.
As to what message the president is deriving from all of the people who aren’t voting we can only speculate.
Washington’s vote-by-mail system must be about voter-suppression, or all the votes haven’t been counted yet.

You know exactly how he will interpret: That he should keep playing golf, keep bombing countries into anarchy, piss on the Constitution, import a new people, and continue acting as though Republicans are somewhat worse than Nazis. Not hard.
I’ll note that my wife and I did what we could to suppress turnout in Florida, but turnout was up nonetheless.
I can only assume that marijuana was legalized in Washington in 2010, or at least that they attempted to do so, and that now that it’s legal too many people are stoned out of their fucking minds to bother voting.
Here’s a plan to increase turnout. Well, not exactly. But increase the US population by a billion or or two, in the interests of making the world a better place. (Their numbers aren’t entirely clear which they would prefer.)
Not sure where they expect everyone to go, but such is the thought process of the modern center-left elite. These bastards really do want to turn the US into a Third World shit-hole with themselves at the top. No wonder they don’t think anyone should mind another 30,000,000 Mexicans – that’s just the start of what they have in mind.
