The Watcher’s Council has announced their selections for the posts of the last week most deserving of recognition. The Council posts were very tightly-clustered this week. The winning Council post was Dr. Sanity’s A Nation that Stands for Nothing Deserves a Media that Believes in Nothing. There was a three-way tie for second place among The Strata-Sphere’s Iraq Connected to 9-11, Right Wing Nut House’s The Handle of Faith, and my own What’s a Credible Source?.
I don’t believe there was any real question about the winning non-Council post for the week. Michael Yon’s remarkable first-hand dispatch from Iraq, Gates of Fire, was the blow-out favorite. The second-place non-Council post was also a three-way tie among chez Nadezhda’s In Defense of John Bolton, Protein Wisdom’s You WILL BE Assimilated: A “Progressive” Academic Manifesto (With Convenient Rightwing Gloss) – UPDATED, and JunkYardBlog’s The War Within the War.
