The Watcher’s Council has announced its picks for the most outstanding posts of the preceding week. The winning Council post was Wolf Howling’s post, “Change & The Cessation of British Historyâ€. Second place honors went to Big Lizards for “Californichusetts”. I voted for the winning post.
The winning non-Council post was Michael Yons “Guitar Heroesâ€. Regardless of your views on why the U. S. invaded Iraq or whether we should be there at all you owe it to yourself to read Michael Yon’s dispatches. Second place honors went to Foreign Affairs’s “An Empty Revolution”, an excellent critique of the common apologetics for the rule of Hugo Chavez in Venezuela, American Thnker for “The Tragedy of the Democratic Party”, and Townhall.com for “The High School Massacre”.
