We’ve passed a major milestone today: the exterior brick was completed. Now our home looks like a house again.
These are the times that try mens’ souls. Not only were the masons busily and noisily completing their work but the HVAC guys were here installing a new furnace for the old part of the house and, of course, while they were in the midst of their work the guy came from the city to install the new radio reader for the water meter. The water meter is located conveniently behind the furnace so the HVAC guys and the guy changing the water meter were crammed into the same space for the duration of the change.
