Scraps

While I was visiting my mom, she gave (or lent) me a number of large scrapbooks of my dad’s. I’m certain whether I’ve mentioned it before but after graduating from law school my dad took an extensive trip to Europe and North Africa in 1937-1938. He kept journals which my wife has transcribed and which I’m planning on publishing little by little here. He was an eyewitness to some remarkable events including Kristallnacht.

As it turns out he kept every map, program, and ticket stub from his trip and we’ve got them all and a lot more in these scrapbooks. Little by little I’ll be scanning these and including them in my posts.

I’ll look forward to seeing the posts and the transcripts. That must have been quite a feat to transcribe ,,,, I’ve seen the journals and though Daddy’s handwriting got worse as he got older, his journals were none too legible!!
