Here’s a sample from a conversation I had with my wife, while watching TV.
Me: “I wonder how many women have said that?”
Her: “What?”
“‘I always knew that someday Mother would do something terrible.'”
“Probably not as many as would tell you about the terrible things their mothers had already done to them.”
