As you can see the tree that fell last week has been completely removed. The space where it used to be in the neighbor’s yard now looks stunningly, startlingly empty. It’s remarkable how accustomed you become to these big old trees.
There’s been plenty of progress on the addition, too. The photo gallery for the addition is here. The brick on the north wall has been completed. The chimney is well under way and, with one false start, the first floor fireplace has been completed and the firebox has been begun on the second floor fireplace.
The plumber is largely finished with his work. Nearly his last official act was installing the tub. Special added attraction: picture of my wife in the bathtub!
