It comes with great costs. I’m not so sanguine. One of those costs, right in front of everyone’s faces, is the refusal to pursue the HRC campaign/FISA court/DoJ-FBI abuses. Mueller hasn’t stuck to the script. There is no reason other than partisanship/dishonesty to not pursue these issues. It casts great doubt on Mueller’s integrity and that of the entire process.

Agreed. If Whitaker were smart, he’d let it run his course, but I don’t believe he took the job without strings attached, one of those strings being to shut Mueller down.
