In the present day, I would oppose the use of US troops to halt a genocide unless it could be tied to protecting American lives and national security.
problem is, it’s all hindsight. Intervention in what way? Words? missiles? troops? I was always glad that Bill kept us clear of a ground war in there as no one wins.
