I don’t usually post a great deal on the Fourth of July. I put up my usual post on the Sauganash Parade. I may write a short essay. I don’t know how the spirit will move me today. There doesn’t seem to be a great deal going on other than the normal bickering and people killing each other on the South and West Sides. It’s pretty quiet down there so far. Last year the tally was 15 killed, 89 wounded.
Any sense at this stage as to who will win the Guv election? Just in the past two weeks three former neighbors, high level taxpayers all, have accelerated their exit IL search.
Sadly, I think that Pritzker will win and he’ll rubberstamp the actions of the Madigan-Cullerton legislature.
Amazing. But then again, there are those convinced the Bears will rise again.
Our neighborhood’s parade this year, smaller than Sauganash’s, will not take place because the permits weren’t obtained.
