The Glittering Eye was out of commission yesterday. I’m still trying to determine whether I was hacked. So far it doesn’t appear so but I have no other explanation for what happened.

Yes, I was hacked. It has been cleaned up. I’m still not sure how the breach occurred.

It is hard to understand why this particular blog would be hacked. It is hardly controversial. But then one should not underestimate the sheer meanness of some people.
Sorry about that. I was trying to improve my IT skills. So I bought a book: Better IT in One Hour – Just Follow the Pictures 1, 2, 3.
And, well, you know……
I doubt it had anything to do with me or this blog. One thing I know for sure is that there are systematic obviously automated attacks on all WordPress blogs.
I have updated some old plug-ins and hardened some other areas. My security service is looking for other holes now.
You are allowed to feel special Dave. Just assume someone is trying to keep you from spreading the “truth”. I think that would be the norm for the rest of the internet. ( I just assumed that I did something to anger the computer gods and your site worked for everyone else.)
