Non-Commenting on the Iowa Caucus

If you haven’t noticed I have less than no interest in the outcome of the Iowa caucuses. Their structure is so eccentric nothing reasonable can be deduced from them. So Trump won’t be competing with Ramaswamy for the nutcase vote any more. Surprise.

I don’t know if I’ve said it before but to my eye the worst case outcome is a rematch of 2020 with Trump’s supporters 100% angrier than in 2020.

Trump opponents look angrier / more fearful then 2020 as well.

Cross reference MSNBC not airing Trump’s victory speech and essentially referring to Trump as “someone who shall not be named”.

The other observation was the surprise that the polls were essentially spot on.

The “nutcase” vote for Trump is probably close to half of the electorate. That’s not a fringe minority. If that many people are nuts, then this nation has a big problem.

“So Trump won’t be competing with Ramaswamy for the nutcase vote any more.”

Clearly you do have an interest. Using it as a platform to express your views and, dare I say, biases. You should be careful, Hillary, er, Dave, of broad brush descriptions of roughly half the country as nutcases. Glass houses, pots, kettles on the left and such………….

  • Where did I say that all Trump voters were nutcases? I don’t think that. However, I do think that there is a small segment of Trump voters for whom Trump is just too experienced and not enough of a loose cannon. That seems to be the segment that Ramaswamy was pursuing. Perhaps “nutcase” is too unkind but I’m at a loss for how to describe that small segment.

I have no problem saying Vivek is/was a nutcase – or at least acted like one as a candidate.

Behavior at MSNBC should be treated as extremist and subversive, if those words were to have any meaning.
News outlets in lockstep with the power structure of the moment may gain access and interviews but lose credibility.

In Illinois challenges have been filed against Biden, Haley and Trump appearing on the ballot. Some of us will need to be studying up on the political positions of RFK, Jr., Chase Oliver and Cornell West.

And they say we’re not becoming a “banana republic”. Illinois will lead the way!

What you said was very clear Dave. Drew is so far in his bubble he cant admit that Vivek is a nutcase. FTR we should JFK to that nutcase list also.
