I’m making a conscientious effort to post more of my foreign policy blogging at OTB (at James’s request) so I’ve posted further thoughts on what we might expect after Musharraf there.
Bottom line: I think the Pakistanis will be more interested in Pakistani interests than in U. S. interests and the notion that the new president will be willing to deal more energetically with the Taliban and Al Qaeda in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas is pretty darned unlikely.
