Mantels

We’re getting down to the final details on our addition. You’ll have to forgive my camera. The bookshelf isn’t actually leaning. It’s definitely straight up and down. There’s some sort of fisheye thing going on with my camera and until I can figure out what it is these pictures are the best I can do. Above is the mantel (and bookshelf) in the master bedroom.

And this is the mantel for the first floor family room fireplace.

    Very nice!

David, to eliminate the leaning, point the camera straight ahead, that is, parallel to the floor instead of up or down. This won’t cure the fisheye effect, though, which is from a short focal length. Try standing further back and zooming to fill the frame with the subject. Interior architectural photographs are always difficult.

Addition looks terrific and you and Janice have done a great job on the details!
