Looking Back

When posting this quick summary of my martial arts experience in comments it occurred to me that, since I consciously avoid a lot of intensive autobiography here, some of my commenters might be interested in getting a little idea of what I’ve done with my life and the experiences that have informed my views. Here are some of the posts in which I’ve talked about this stuff more directly:

Me and music
Starting businesses
Hard work

I thought I’d written a post on the many and varied things I’ve done for pay over the years but I can’t put my hands on it. Maybe later.

While I’m waxing reminiscent and since it’s high summer, here’s an old reminiscence of a summer now nearly sixty years gone.

I’ll return later, but Dave, at the risk of speaking for others, it’s this, plus the interesting perspectives- no matter how much they may at times infuriate – the intellect, the intellectual honesty, the depth, and the diversity of essays………that keep us coming. It’s a great site. I just hope the OTB ticks don’t infest it.

I’m surprised this essay did not get comments. I’ve often thought one of the positive aspects of this blog was the relatively personal nature of it, sharing personal history.

I vigorously agree with some, violently disagree with others, respect every last one and only wish them the best.

    The silence is surprising.

Drew, what’s to say? If someone had something to say they probably would have done so on the linked posts. If they have nothing to say, they’ve STILL got nothing to say.
