Happy Birthday, Dean

Today Dean Esmay has begun his fifth decade of life. Happy Birthday, Dean.

I’ve frequently said it, I continue to believe it, and I’ll say it again: Dean is one of the true princes of the blogosphere. He’s been kind and supportive to me and given me some great opportunities and I’m genuinely grateful.

The difference between an adult and a child is the willingness and ability to take responsibility for your actions. Dean has been doing this with a vengeance. Welcome to adulthood, Dean.  He’s taken responsibility for himself—the hardest responsibility of all to assume. He’s also undertaken the responsibility of caring for his family and loving and supporting his wife and maintaining their relationship.

On top of all this he’s undertaken the responsibility of educating, entertaining, and challenging us all here in the blogosphere and he’s doing it with style and good humor.

Congratulations and affection, Dean. Many happy returns.

  • I met Dean on one of my infamous road trips. He is indeed a prince among men. (Which, of course, explains much about how he wound up wed to the Queen of All Evil.)

He is all that and more. He really did find the beautiful Princess and when they married he became the King and she was now his Queen. When I attended their wedding I was in awe of the two of them. Rosemary is so very beautiful inside and outwardly. Her family are such wonderful people and I felt so wonderful watching the two of them dance.
Rosemary was so cute when she took off her wedding shoes and dawned a new pair of white bridal shoes (kinda like high top tennis shoes but much prettier) and I thought, “Now that’s a Dancer ;-)”
Through the years and it has been ten and one half years now, I believe they grow more and more in love.
CGHill, he is a prince among men and when he met his lover for life and on that day he became a KIng.
Having two children that are so totally different but so alike in many ways keeps those two happy as two love birds looking at their little nest they created.
Dave, as you know I am Dean’s Mom and how many bloggers allow their Mother’s to comment. He has never kicked me out even when I was loopy on med’s. I know he likes it when I post and it was Rosemary that told me that years ago. I try to keep my pride from bubbling over but at times I can not contain it.
Keep writing Dave, you are appreciated.

  • Dean is definitely one of the very fluffiest bunnies ever.

  • And I mean that in a really good sweet way, not an incredibly horrid saracastic way 🙂
