Foreign Policy Blogging at OTB

I’ve just published a foreign policy-related post at Outside the Beltway:

The Most Anti-China Article You’ll Read Today

What’s the most serious issue in the world today? North Korea’s nuclear weapons? Iranian nuclear weapons development? Education? U. S. fiscal policy?

I think there’s a good argument to be made that the most dire problem in the world today is environmental degradation in China. Over at OTB I take brief note of an article over at Foreign Affairs addressing that very topic.

From the Foreign Affairs article: Such air pollution contributed to 1.2 million premature deaths in China in 2010, according to the Global Burden of Disease Study.

That’s likely a feature, not a bug, to a country with draconian population-limit laws.
