Feet of Clay

I don’t have much to say about Eric Schneiderman’s fall from grace other than to wonder if as more and more of their champions are shown to have feet of clay why their erstwhile supporters don’t discern a pattern here?

“Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.”

By some measures, the state of New York is nearing or exceeding the state of Illanois in terms of the immorality of its politicians.

Stat: Someone stated on Twitter 3 of the last 5 constitutional state wide elected officials have resigned in disgrace.

That’s not to denigrate the two great states of Illanois and New York Still ongoing is the Gov of Missouri who might be impeached; a possible Republican candidate for West Virginia senator who is a convicted felon.

  • No offense taken. New York’s scandals are about mere private immorality on the part of public officials. New Yorkers have a long way to go before they match Illinois in public corruption. Four of our last eight governors did time in prison after their terms of office (two of the last four). Just about the only public building that should be named for an Illinois governor is a prison.
