For the first time, when watching Duck Soup for the umpteenth time, I noticed that my cousin was an extra in it. He’s about fifteen minutes in. Tall good-looking guy in a tuxedo, seen only in profile. Not a first cousin. Actually my third cousin but in my family that passes for a close relative.
It was made during the period when he was getting a lot of roles as an extra, from the early to the mid-1930s. He got lots of them because he was a tall, good-looking guy who could dance and owned his own tuxedo.
