There’s an interesting quiz on energy over at Forbes you might want to try out. I got all but one right. I find that quizzes like this usually reveal the areas in which my background of knowledge is weakest and this one was no exception. As it turns out I did not know how many miles of oil and gas pipeline we had in the U. S.
Scrolling around on my phone and chasing my daughter made it hard to keep an accurate count, but I think I only missed four. The one on gas pipe line mileage, the one on the number of people using wood & manure for primary energy source, the windiest country in Europe, and the one about the appliances.
Of the others, many I knew, some were informed guesses, and a couple were probably just guesses. But I knew the one about state nuclear power generation from reading this blog!
Speaking of energy & the economy:
Cheap Oil Is Killing My Job
Oops.
Guess I’m glad I didn’t follow Drew’s & Michael’s advice of selling the homestead & moving to the Dakotas….
I must have missed the part where I advised you to sell your house and move to the Dakotas.
All you rich guys told me to move where the jobs were, Drew.
