Among the hazards of growing up in a town that at least used to be somewhat French in its views is a tendency towards republicanism. Having such views I have less than no interest in the goings-on of British royalty. I have less than no interest in the upcoming wedding of Prince Henry of Wales to his American girlfriend. I will do my best to avoid watching the wedding.
That view is not shared in our household. My wife plans to watch the wedding.
Woke up this morning and saw this on my Facebook feed from one of my more sarcastic friends.
I could care less about the wedding except that I’m happy for them both. I do have a lot of respect for Harry, his desire to serve even when he didn’t have to, and his work with veterans from America’s wars of choice.
