Do you think that it’s a coincidence that Amazon is building its first Amazon Go store in Seattle which enacted its $15 minimum wage law last year?
BTW, Amazon Go has nothing to do with artificial intelligence or recent technology. It’s all based on technology that’s been around for years.
I think not, Seattle is the center of whats new. As for the new venture, we’ll see, but I have my doubts, and not because the tech won’t work.
Seattle is their headquarters and whatever supply chain they have for groceries would be built out starting close to home. Plus Bezos no doubt wants to be able to shop there, show visiting dignitaries around. . . So, evidently a high local minimum wage wasn’t too discouraging for Amazon. Right?
