Catching my eye: morning A through Z

Here’s what’s caught my eye this morning:

  • American Future features a guest post from Duoist reflecting on freedom and the deaths of two philosphers.
  • Dr. Sanity has a very interesting post on guilt cultures, shame cultures, and how they influence the mess we’re in.
  • Froggy takes on the 2 Atta theory.
  • SarahK of Mountaineer Musings saw Sin City the other evening and didn’t much care for it. I’ve been struggling with myself on whether to see it. On the one hand I suspect it’s a breakthrough cinematic milestone; on the other judging by the unavoidable trailers it’s far too pagan for me (sorry, Jeff).
  • Jon Henke of QandO Blog has an interesting analysis of what’s going on in Iraq. I don’t agree with everything he has to say but I think quite a bit of it is on the money. Take a look.

That’s the lot.
