Carnival of the Recipes is up! This time it’s being hosted by SarahK of Mountaineer Musings. I see Throwdown Crawfish Etouffee, Shrimp Curry, Afghan Curry, and scads of other recipes. All four food groups are represented. That would be salt, grease, alcohol, and chocolate. And a few recipes for left-over turkey.
Your food groups are accurate and inspiring. To your health (having just consumed butter-and-salt-laden stuffed pork rib roast, with Boston Cream Pie for dessert, lifts Beefeater martini, straight up with an olive)!
Dave,
I saw your comment over at Sarah’s about you trying the Shrimp Curry. I’m glad you liked it, and I really liked your idea about substituting creamed coconut. I’ve made note of that and will give it a try sometime.
Allan, if you get to it before I do I’ll be interested in how the experiment turns out. When I first used creamed coconut I was extremely surprised by what it looked like—not unlike a bar of Ivory soap. But I was impressed with the results.
