Blagojevich On the Air

This morning WLS Radio listeners were treated to impeached Gov. Rod Blagojevich filling in for the regular hosts of the show from seven until nine. You can find podcasts of the show here. The Christian Science Monitor’s liveblogging of the show gives a pretty fair flavor of what the show was like.

The former governor was delusional, as usual. I’m sorry he didn’t name more names, frankly. He complained a lot about Pat Quinn who’s replaced him as governor.

One of the few that he did mention explicitly as a “double-dipper”, somebody who’s holding elective office while serving a job with government in some other capacity, was John D’Amico who as fate would have it is my representative in the State Assembly. He’s the nephew of my alderman who’s the daughter of the previous alderman.

Remember the old Monty Python skit: “Can You Spot the Looney?”
