A Canuck, by definition, is French. Is Jack a French dog? If so, he should be Jacque.
My mother’s family is 100% French Canadian, i. e., Canuck. My father’s is 100% English, as in Anglo-Saxon. Half the men with my surname share genetics, and come from a few small villages outside of Huddersfield, England, as did my grandfather.
