Another Fine Theory Shot to the Dickens

Speaking of immigration U. S. Customs and Border Protection has updated their statistics to include May 2021. The results are above.

To my eye that does not appear to support the hypothesis that March and April’s striking increase in “enforcement encounters”, as they call them, were just a transient blip or that June’s numbers had been timeshifted into March or April.

One possible interpretation of VP Harris’s remarks in Guatemala is that the Biden Administration has recognized that Candidate Biden’s comments during the campaign were interpreted by people in Central America as an invitation and now they need to counteract that.

I can’t wait for the strongly worded letter. That’ll clinch the deal…

Looks like there was a crisis in 2019 that didnt merit talking about but now there is one that deserves a lot of attention and the current crisis might be almost as bad as in the early 2000s.

    You cannot be that stupid.

In 2019, there was a president that was trying to stop illegal immigration not facilitate it, but for three years, all his attempts were delayed by the courts. By 2020, the cases had been thrown out by the Supreme Court, and order was restored.

This crisis was caused by a president who explicitly said that all illegal immigrants should come to the border, and this president explicitly stated that there would be a 100 day halt to all the Supreme Court approved measures implemented by the previous president.

Furthermore, the Pediphile-in-Chief stated that they should not come to the US, but he qualified with “yet”. So, anybody with a few functioning brain cells could determine that there would be a crisis.

The crisis could be ended by restoring the effective measures established by the previous president, but of course, that means admitting he was right.

Apparently you can be that stupid. We had a president who talked about illegal immigration but actually did almost nothing that would decrease it. But, if your explanation were correct then we should have had higher numbers of illegals in 2017 and 2018. In fact, they were lower those years. We had a peak on the same order of magnitude that we are seeing now but it didnt get talked about. Then, as I noted, the numbers were much higher in the early 2000s. Even you would, I hope, have trouble pinning that on Biden, though I wouldn’t put it past you.
