Will, Nola, my wife, and Doreen at 2007 IKC

As I anticipated Will and Nola both got dumped yesterday. However, they did a wonderful job and my wife did a great job in handling them. Above, my wife (right) and our friend Dorene (left) put those final finishing touches on Will and Nola before going into the ring. Click on the picture for a larger version. Dorene did yeoman’s service in grooming Will and Nola and generally bucking my wife up. Thanks, Dorene.

My wife and Nola, 2007 IKC

In the picture above the judge in the classes gives Will a looking over.

We achieved all of our objectives in showing Will and Nola yesterday: they got the experience of going to the show, they behaved themselves beautifully, my wife did a great job in handling them, and we came back home with the same number of dogs that we went to the show with. All in all a good day. We don’t expect every judge to share our views of what a good Samoyed is. Will and Nola both moved beautifully and in our humble, unbiased opinions nothing in the ring yesterday touched their movement.
