We Removed Qaddafi for This?

My recollection may be faulty but I don’t seem to recall slave auctions being held in Libya, as reported here by CNN, when Moammar Qaddafi was in charge. There are things worse than evil, vicious, loony dictators and destabilizing North Africa has given us the opportunity of confirming that.

If pedophilia is preferable to Republicans, what is a little slavery between friends?

BAD, but where is it written America can fix everything. Should have left Gaddafi alone.

Syria, where we didn’t topple the dictator, isn’t doing any better. The situations are more alike than different, and hopefully we learned a lesson.

Gadaffi’s downfall also showed that the US cannot be trusted to not intervene — he gave up his nuclear program for our assurances of not interfering, and that was a mistake.

We do need a better end for dictators than sending them to The Hague or sodomizing them with a bayonet. A quiet retirement on a tropical island might look better to them than hanging on to the bitter end. There might not be any justice in it, but less harm to everyone else. Cuba is nice, I hear.

Thought about that too, but even dictators have extended families and friends and supporters. So, I guess, a BIG island.

Since the fall of the Soviet Union, the US has literally run amok, destroying one country after another, leveling whole cities, killing hundreds of thousands (millions?) of innocent civilians and spreading chaos everywhere. Consider the list, roughly chronological: Kosovo, Somalia, Sudan, Chad, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Ukraine, Syria, Libya, Egypt, Turkey. In most cases, we overthrew dictators only to replace them with worse. In Ukraine, we overthrew its only legitimate, democratically elected president and replaced him with literal Nazis left over from WW II, also literal Jew-killers. We failed in Egypt and Turkey, but we destroyed important alliances. The Philippines seem to be next. The chief beneficiaries of all this are Iran and Russia.

What sort of madmen think up and carry out such policies? They can do it only because we have a professional (mercenary?) military totally isolated from the American people. Would any of this have happened if we still relied on conscripts?

The Deep State/neocons who control us are the true rogue, terrorist state, and unless they are neutralized they will continue to spread terror and chaos throughout the world. At some point, other major powers, some now our “allies,” will be forced into an anti-American alliance similar to the original United Nations that fought the Axis powers.

Are slave auctions being conducted in the areas of Syria controlled by the Syrian government? Please present evidence.

The reason that Syria isn’t doing better than it is is U. S. support for the rebels.

Well, at the time, the need to have a head or three dangling from the belt was thought to buff the resume of the President and his heir. while bolstering the position of Susan Rice and the right to protect crew . That it failed to do so is of course the fault of the British, obstructionists in the Congress, et al.

BTW, if the press is to believed Daesh has been run out of Iraq and about to in Syria, isn’t it time wind it up and plan the victory march?
