The Watcher’s Council has announced its picks for the most outstanding posts of the preceding week and I honestly can’t remember the last time when there was so much agreement about the winning posts. The winning Council post was Gates of Vienna’s post, “The Last Boat Out of Liverpoolâ€. I voted for this post, too, Dymphna. Read Dymphna’s story of how she learned about the Holocaust. In second place was New World Man’s “You’re-being-mean-to-me Liberalismâ€.
The winning non-Council post was Villainous Company’s post, “Can America Still Win Wars?â€. I think that the answer to this question is “Yes†but that our leaders must prepare the political ground much more soundly than they have been. The second place post was The American Digest’s commentary on United 93, “Of a Fire in a Fieldâ€. Since these were my secondary and primary selections, respectively, I’m quite gratified at this result.
