The Anonymous Manifesto

While I’m on the subject of open letters the hacker group Anonymous has published an open letter to the citizens of the U. S. seeking support (I wonder if they give out tote bags?). I believe that this is the group that recently released a collection of internal emails from the Bank of America.

In looking at their grievances and demands I found myself in agreement with them on many. Not all of course. I doubt that I agree with anybody on everything. I suspect that they might mean something different by “uphold the Constitution” than, say, the Supreme Court of the United States does.

“we must consider the advice and example of those who have preceded us. Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, and JFK are good places to start. All took fierce positions against central banking . . .”

    Abraham Lincoln?

    Bwah ha ha

to the citizens of the U. S. seeking support (I wonder if they give out tote bags?).

Which begs the question: Will the Libyan rebels be sending us a tote bag anytime soon?

I think we should take this with a grain of salt. My understanding is that Anonymous is basically a sort of free-form, non-specific group without leadership or organization. So I am skeptical that this is from them, or that they really are a “them.”

These are so silly. “Make Health Care a Human Right,” for example.

Health Care is already a human right. Just like food. You just have to pay for it.

You just don’t have a right to theft of funds from the young and healthy to support your own health care, as Obamacare provides.
