Put to the Question

I have an odd question. If the only gauge of whether a law should be enforced is whether those violating the law have families to support and just want a better way of life for themselves and their families, how many of our laws should be set aside?

It seems to me that Bernie Madoff fits neatly into that category. Should swindling be legalized?

Should swindling be legalized? The overwhelming number of people who vote major party every election shows the people DEMAND to be swindled!

To be fair, those who favor the President’s immigration policy consider illegal immigration a victimless crime. That’s debatable, as is the general concept of victimless crimes, but it is in that category in which there are not identifiable individuals who can show direct harm from the actions of any particular immigrant.

  • I think that rather than strictly victimless they’re subjecting it to cost-benefit analysis which I think is itself immoral in this context.

Every person working at a low income job is injured by the illegal immigrants coming into the country as is everyone who pays higher taxes to educate the children of illegals, pays taxes for more roads, or pays higher medical insurance premiums.
