One More Word on the Georgia Situation as a European Problem

Can anybody explain the strategic importance of Georgia without mentioning, at least implicitly, Europe or the various European countries?

  • Yes. Georgia has NO strategic importance.

  • If you’re addressing me with your comment, b, you’ve misunderstood what I’ve been posting here. Georgia has no strategic purpose of its own, isolated from Europe. I think it’s highly imprudent for the U. S. to shoulder all of the weight if the Europeans, to whom it’s significantly more important, aren’t willing to shoulder any.
