Can anybody explain the strategic importance of Georgia without mentioning, at least implicitly, Europe or the various European countries?

Yes. Georgia has NO strategic importance.
If you’re addressing me with your comment, b, you’ve misunderstood what I’ve been posting here. Georgia has no strategic purpose of its own, isolated from Europe. I think it’s highly imprudent for the U. S. to shoulder all of the weight if the Europeans, to whom it’s significantly more important, aren’t willing to shoulder any.
