Moral Question

I think it would be an act of clemency to allow the young people who were brought to the United States illegally as children by their parents to remain with some sort of legal status. I don’t think there’s a moral obligation to do so as some are claiming.

Could someone please articulate the case that there is a moral obligation to allow them to remain?

I think clemency is a better descriptor than moral. Any moral argument would probably rest upon the notion that it would be cruel to send them to a country they have no familiarity. Even so, that may be more a practical consideration.

If we move to other illegals not brought here as minors any moral argument probably vaporizes entirely.
