Cruise on over to Politico and read the email from a “television industry executive”. Is it really true, as he claims, that the Twitterverse, blogosphere, etc. are just looking out for themselves while the Old Media are selfless custodians of the public good(“watchdogs of the Republic”)? I think the problem is that the Old Media are practically indistinguishable from New Media. That’s the price of up-to-the-minute news coverage with inadequate local resources to do real reporting. You pays your money and you takes your choice.
