This is Qila a little more than a year ago and just shortly after he had been diagnosed with cancer. Judging by the ball in her mouth that’s Nola standing just over his shoulder.
This is Mira. She was just about two years old when this picture was taken.
I have pictures. Will is a very sensitive dog and he’s clearly missing his departed friends. He’s been licking and digging in the places they used to lie lately. That brings up their scents for him—much more immediate than my pictures. Scents, pictures, and memories will all fade with time.
