Catching my eye: A through Z in the afternoon

Here’s what’s caught my eye today:

  • John Robb of Global Guerrillas has an engineering critique of the connectivity theory of international stability (exemplified by Thomas Barnett’s PNM). I’ll have to incorporate this into my Wave Theory of PNM.
  • Armchair Generalist reminds us that the ceasefire in Gulf War I began fifteen years ago today.
  • The Religious Policeman has produced a wonderful contribution to international relations: the Official Muslim Offended-O-Meter. For the latest on the offense level see here. Hat tip: Beautiful Atrocities
  • And now for something completely different:  a voice-operated blender.  Hat tip:  Boing Boing

That’s the lot.

  • hey Dave,

I’ll have extended commentary on John’s post up tonight.

  • I’m not a bit surprised. I look forward to it.
