I’m still waiting for the overnight polls to come out before making any more observations about the impeachment inquiry. I doubt that anyone’s listening any more.

You might be surprised how many people ARE actually paying attention
Two different movies are playing right now. One is showing Harry Potter about to corner Voldemort and blast him with the Elder Wand. The other is showing a Howdy Doody rerun.
Here are the viewerships for the five debates in millions:
Sondland destroyed the inquiry: no quid pro quo. Period.
I can see why debate 1 was higher, being the first one. But, why did #3 spark an equal interest? As for last night, the ratings were very poor. Somehow, I think political interest is waning because everything has become so political.
You learn something new everyday. Nancy Pelosi informs us we have an existential threat in the White House………….and they are going to deal with it after their 10 day vacation…………but no way they are going to the courts to get to witnesses they need. No time, you see. And after all, who are the courts anyway?
The farce quotient goes up each day.
The 3rd debate was the first where all the main candidates were on the same stage.
Pressure cooker time..let things simmer for a bit and build up lots of steam. Give folks time to talk things over. Nancy wont let the pot boil dry.10 days should be plenty of time to cook a turkey or two. Time to set the table, have a snack, dinner will be ready when it’s ready. Watch a few reruns, have a conversation. Hare brain, tortoise mind time.
I was looking at what I think is the most recent impeachment poll (YouGov/The Economist, Nov. 17 – Nov. 19), and which Real Clear Politics places as having the most pro-impeachment results (45% should impeach; 40% should not).
The cross-tabs show not a lot of support in two swing groups:
Independents: (35% should; 40% should not)
Midwest: (40% should; 49% should not)
All of the other census regions support impeachment, including the South (42% should; 39% should not).
