The big news here in Chicago is the apparent suicide of Chris Kelly (pictured at left), formerly a top aide to disgraced impeached Gov. Rod Blagojevich, who was soon to begin a prison term:
Hours before his death, the onetime top aide and fund-raiser to ex-Gov. Rod Blagojevich was found inside a Cadillac Escalade at a south suburban lumberyard.
He had swallowed pills and gotten sick all over himself and his SUV, according to police.
Kelly was trading texts with his girlfriend who rushed to the site and got him to the hospital. Kelly, 51, was conscious enough at one point to sit up in a gurney and answer a police officer’s questions, authorities said.
By the next morning, the married father of three young girls was dead.
A few days ago Mr. Kelly had declaimed “Just wait. Some day, the whole truth will come out.”
I wonder.
