As you may or may not be aware, there have been violent protests in Milwaukee for the last two nights:
Tension flared again overnight in Milwaukee, with one person shot and a police officer injured in the second night of riots triggered by the fatal shooting of a suspect by an officer.
Police violence against African-Americans has ignited sporadic, sometimes violent protests in the past two years. It also has prompted a national debate over race and policing while fuelling the growth of the Black Lives Matter civil rights movement.
Violence erupted in Milwaukee on Sunday after peaceful vigils by small groups of demonstrators, and police said late that night that they had rescued one shooting victim, who was taken to a hospital. It was not immediately clear if the injured person was a protester.
The violence started when police shot and killed armed suspect Sylville K. Smith when he refused to drop his weapon. The police officer who fired the fatal shot was black as was Mr. Smith. Early indications are that the police acted within the law and department guidelines.
My questions are what should be the policy and what should have happened? If the law or rule becomes that police may never use deadly force, that would seem to me to be likely to have perverse consequences.

Any black person should be able to do whatever they want to whomever they want without any fear of consequence. That much is obvious from the BLM movement, from the President on down. Hillary and the like are okay with it because they don’t think rich whites will be impacted, and fuck those other white people anyway. If they didn’t want to get robbed, raped or murdered, they’d get rich – and as Kevin Williamson and people like Matt Yglesias make clear, non-rich white people really are the worst, and should be put in death camps anyway. (Funny to see National Review and Michael Reynolds in agreement, but there it is.)

Hardly perverse, merely expected. If some blacks get killed by other lawless blacks, so what? Obama and the like don’t give any more of a shit about poor blacks than Hillary gives about poor whites. They’re useful idiots, that’s all, and they’ll all be replaced by Third World peasants soon enough anyway. Fuck ’em, as long as the leaders keep getting rich looting the country.
National Razor Party, 2016. Let’s do it to them for a change.
What should have happened? Dunno, too many missing pieces, however, lets remember the old Western line, “Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6”. Otherwise, too many idle hands on a hot summer night.
The policy as it exists is probably fine. If this shooting happened in the context of a history of fair and equal treatment by the police, there would have been no riot.
