Virtually Not a Convention

Don’t expect me to comment much on the Democratic National Convention. I’m not particularly interested in political conventions or even in commentary on political conventions. I wasn’t much into pep rallies in high school, either.

    Wise move.

True story, I didn’t even know it was on last night. But the reports aren’t exactly sparkling.

However, the hockey was good and who knows, the Hawks might actually make things interesting tonight.

Calamity Harris in a recent interview basically provided her view of the election: The election is only about Trump. Nothing she or Biden says or does, the Democratic Platform, the Democrat-abetted rioting and lockdowns, etc. etc. matters. It’s completely and totally a referendum on OMB. So vote for her if you know what’s good for you.

  • That’s the right strategy for Democrats. The more it’s about policies or personalities other than Trump’s, the poorer their chances. Rahm Emanuel thinks that 2020 is a great opportunity for a major realignment. I think he’s just feeling lonely as the center of Democratic Party recedes ever farther from him.
