Twin Predictions

I was saddened to hear that Sen. Bernie Sanders had needed to have heart surgery. I wish him all the best.

Attendant to that I will make a pair of predictions. First, the DNC will redouble its efforts to have Sen. Sanders withdraw his candidacy and throw his support to some other candidate, presumably Elizabeth Warren. And second he will refuse. He will continue to fight to the bitter end.

It’s a good reminder that the leading Democratic candidates and the President are all over 70 and they could have an incapacitating medical condition strike at any time.

  • Practically all of the Democratic candidates are either too old or too young.

    Don’t forget Congress.

Pelosi, McConnell are over 70. Schumer is a spring chicken at 68.

Trump is 73. McConnell is 77. Pelosi 79. Too old.

    “Too old”?
Because health declines with age? Money cures that.

  • Money cures that.

Infirmity and death come to all in time, rich and poor alike. The life expectancy of those in Bernie Sanders’s cohort is 9 years and both of his parents died young.

IMO once you’re older than 50, nowadays how long you live depends more on your genes than the size of your bank account.

    Thinking of Dick Cheney.
