I am no fan of Donald Trump. I cannot imagine circumstances under which I would vote for him for president. However, when I read this editorial at the Washington Post, “Both Are Unpopular. Only One is a Threat”, I could only think of the two of them which one has connived at leading us into three wars and encouraged our participation in more?
Both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are threats. The threats they pose are different but they’re both threats. Is it any wonder I don’t want to vote for either one of them?
Although I kind of like Trump’s state transactional view of foreign policy I think his big fat mouth would badly damage our foreign relations. That is less of a threat than Clinton’s warmongering, but I still won’t be voting for either one of them.
I predict this will be the first year since 1968 that a third party will win electoral votes.
Yes, from a certain angle it’s possible that Trump is less of a hawk than Hillary Clinton.
The problem is that Trump knows as much about his hawkness as anybody on the internet commenting. Deep down, Hillary knows hat not only was she all in on Iraq and Libya she would do it again. Deep down, Trump knows that whatever he was thinking then it was the best and, if given the choice, he would continue to be thinking the best.
